2023年2月26日 · Occasional tree feller. Found my later brothers old Stihl hard hat. The face shield is cracked in several places and the ear muffs are pretty filthy. Searching for replacement parts and not really finding what looks compatible. Should I bother to try and refurbish this or just go with some of the $50-$70 units I see on AmazaBay?

2017年3月20日 · Doesn't look like Stihl sells these separately that I can tell, and I don't really want to buy a whole new helmet. Anyone replaced these with standard hard hat earmuffs? There are some better ones out there than what comes with the Stihl helmet, but the mount on the Stihl helmet doesn't seem compatible with standard hard hat ear muffs.

2013年3月31日 · A good Stihl hard hat, either cap or full brim style, has plenty of adjustment. Good safety purchase, I have one cap with face screen and ear muffs, was a pain at first, but I like it now. Ear muffs help hold hat on when you bend over to pick up the wedge you just dropped.

Mine have broken twice, and most recently I could not find a stihl replacement at a decent price. Stihl's part number is 0000-886-0406, good luck. But...

2009年12月16日 · Depends. Most hard hat accessories are designed to snap into the accessory slots on the sides of conventional hard hats. However, several of the manufacturers (MSA, Fibre Metal, etc.) do have kits for attaching face shields to full brim hard hats. These usually involve a spring or band that encircles the hat or the brim.

2020年4月18日 · Generally, dealers who have stand alone chainsaw, servicing, or outdoor power equipment, shops will be better places to get parts (and service) than businesses who sell chainsaws on the side (e.g. ACE Hardware locations, John Deere dealers, farm stores, etc.).
