The Stoa of Attalos (also spelled Attalus; Greek: Στοά του Αττάλου) was a stoa (covered walkway or portico) in the Agora of Athens, Greece. [ 1 ] It was built by and named after King Attalos II of Pergamon, who ruled between 159 and 138 BC.

The Agora was established in the sixth century BCE and grew over a period of several centuries. The Stoa of Attalos—a covered promenade of shop stalls, a precursor to the modern-day mall—was built by the King of Pergamon in the second century.
