What demons/fabulous creatures did the Sumerians mention?
2015年9月21日 · I'm looking into fabulous creatures and demons specifically in Sumerian texts, or in Akkadian texts but where the creature/demon still had a Sumerian origin. I can't seem to find a complete list, if it even exists, and many which are listed in various places on the internet are extremely suspect. What I have so far: Anzu bird; Asag; Bull of Heaven

EDIT : The sumerian language is apparently an language isolate. So it is just a coincidence. More than that, in the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, an hypothesis linked this word with a goddess from the eastern cultural block, but it is not linked to a semitic deity. Still, I don't see any link with the sumerian gods.
