2013年7月9日 · Welcome to the site. There is a search tool, however not familiar with it, try key word search "thermocline". A 7' thermal break isn't that unusual, however a 7' thermocline is! There difference is a 4 to 5 degrees water temperature change within 2to 3 feet depth change.

2020年9月4日 · I catch many smallmouth while jigging for walleye where the thermocline meets long tapering points. These spots aren't as productive during daytime. I think the walleye/smallmouth suspend at thermocline depth over deeper water during daytime and follow the thermocline to the points at evening time to feed.

2019年6月24日 · This is a Garmin Striker 5cv. Was probing my lake to see if there is a thermocline in it. Went to the deepest part (24ft) and came across this band around 5-10 foot mark. As I zoomed in it was more 6-8 foot mark. I went around for a bit and kept getting this mark. Was wondering if this could be a thermocline? The lake is electric only, 500 acres.

2020年8月5日 · I can understand a thermocline developing in some of the deeper bays of KY Lake where the water isn't affected as much when they are generating current. We've swam in them before and there is definitely a layer of colder water as you swim down. But I've never thought about finding the thermocline with electronics and fishing above it.
