The towing prep package is standard on all CX-9 with AWD. It is an option on the FWD Grand touring model only. It is NOT available on the FWD Touring and Sport models. There has been some discussion on what the "real" towing capacity of this vehicle. In Australia the CX-9 is rated to tow 2 metric tons which is 4400 lbs.

Completely normal operation. The CX-9 is equipped with a "grade-logic" transmission, which uses various sensors through out the vehicle (i.e. abs, throttle position, brake switch, yaw rate, etc) and determines the fact that the vehicle is in a slope and to help the vehicle slow down or maintain a safe speed it down shifts to a specified gear depending on all the inputs from the sensors.

2010年6月1日 · Mazda CX-9 2008 Sometimes when I get into my car, the steering wheel locks and there is no play in it. I do NOT exit the car with the steering wheel locked. It takes enormous strength to turn the wheel just a bit to get the car to start. It seems to be an intermittent problem.

I mention the right hitch. Make sure you get a hitch with enough tongue weight capacity. I have noticed several aftermarket hitches that I've looked into with only 300 pound ratings. I'll probably spring for the GM accessory hitch, as it's the only one rated at 400 pounds that I've seen so far.
