It's not mentioned on screen but there are set details that depict Vernon standing in front of a Grunnings factory and I believe, from visiting the set, there are one or two certificates in the hall mentioning it too.

2022年1月25日 · Vernon Dursley and the Ungrateful Nephew, I love it! Side note: Richard Griffiths (The actor that plays Uncle Vernon in the movies) is one of the unsung MVPs in the films IMO. He was so great in the role, he found the perfect balance of being cartoonishly mean to Harry without being unbelievable.
