2024年8月22日 · hi. i don't find myself using windows widgets and therefore i want to completely remove it as it uses a lot of resources and affects performance. i disabled it using group policy but i still find it running in the background. is there any permanent solution? i am attaching 2 screenshots (one of the group policy & another one of the task manager)

2022年7月14日 · Sorry for the late reply. Basically, I toggled the widgets off in Settings. Upon {Windows) start-up/boot Widgets.exe always return accompanied by msedgewebview2.exe but remain invisible to view eg. weather and other widgets. My workaround is each time my PC boots up, I use "task manager" and manually force close widgets.exe.

2023年3月29日 · One of the few bugs I have encountered with Windows 11 is that my Widgets no longer seem to work. I click on the icon, and nothing happens now. The first thing I tried doing, was force closing the process in task manager to see if I could try to restart the process.

It will be cool to see what computers are like after the next 10 or 15 years). I guess like the first computers were just calculators. Lol.
