(for a 3/16" ID ferrule) laid across a DOUBLE ferrule, put 2 dents on one side, no closer than within 25% of the END of the ferrule flip it over and put the 3rd dent on the opposite side, spaced between the first 2.

The crimping sleeves that you linked to are made for 3/16" wire rope/cable. If you have solid wire then those sleeves are not the correct method to join or secure the solid wire. For solid wire you would need to use a bolt or screw clamp. For swaging the crimping sleeves with wire rope/cable you would want a tool like shown here.

2021年4月9日 · Depending on the strength required, its possible to place a crimp with the wire's coating/sheath still on, and if a thinble was also used INSIDE the loop this would help extend the useful life of the looped section. Soaking the wire in heavy oil or a rust preventative wherever the coating is removed or damaged will slow rusting. PS.
