I started describing the 6E changes to a friend of mine who I used to GM Shadowrun for all the time. His honest reaction to Edge being the central mechanic for combat (and before I even got to armor being meaningless) was, "For F*cks Sake, why won't they just go back to second edition?

But I lived through 3e and 4e and was brought in by the "death" of 2e. 6e will eventually come. 5e's popularity will wane and the guys at the head are too far up there in age to helm it for 10 more years creatively.
