Oryx took the King morph which made him male. Savathun took the Wizard/mother morph making her fertile Hive quite likely all start out female, then some become males, some become fertile mothers, the others just remain as they are.

I am curious as to how strong is Oryx with all his powers, abilities and feats, compared to other people like for example, is Oryx's level of power the the same as Raditz from DBZ? He is capable of using his Oversoul Dreadnaught do destroy an entire fleet and a portion of Saturn's rings, he can project a dark astral form which can fight and control Taken from such long distance. Either the hive and oryx have more to do with the vex and time gates than we know or he is over 4.6 billion years old. In his ship, a statue of him is found that is, according to ghost analysis, older than the Sol system.

The biggest problem is that we're comparing Halo and Destiny, and Oryx in Destiny is AT LEAST as powerful as the Warp Gods in Warhammer 40K. The only reason Guardians were able to kill Oryx both times in the first place is because he wasn't actively planning it all. He was pissed that his son was killed, and wasn't thinking rationally.
