Chomp (ガブ Gabu) the Triceratops is the faithful companion of Max Taylor, and a main protagonist. He is voiced by Asuka Tanii in the Japanese version and Kether Donohue in the English version, and it's talking voice was done by Michael Reisz.

Super Chomp is an upgraded form of Chomp that is exclusive to the arcade and manga. Despite being the same species, Super Chomp and Super Triceratops have different cards and stats, clearly distinguished by Chomp's chibi icon.

Chomp is a tough fighter when the time to battle comes, but most of the time he’s a docile, playful dinosaur. Tropey, Come Home: Chomp wanders off on his own in a lot of episodes. He always ends up eventually coming back to Max though.
