The Kurfürstendamm (German pronunciation: [ˌkuːɐ̯fʏʁstn̩ˈdam] ⓘ; colloquially Ku'damm, [ˈkuːdam] ⓘ; [2] English: Prince Elector Embankment) is one of the most famous avenues in Berlin. The street takes its name from the former Kurfürsten (prince-electors) of Brandenburg.
