Founded in 1995 by The Economist, European Voice is a Brussels-based weekly covering European affairs and EU institutions. It considers itself an independent paper whose "mission is to promote informed debate, openness and progress in the EU" and which, it says, "has become essential reading for the EU regulatory and political affairs communities – Europe's most important decision-makers".

Voices of Europe 2024. To coincide with the European elections, Voxeurop is launching an ambitious editorial initiative: bringing 27 media outlets from across the EU together to cover this singular democratic process.

Created by journalists from the four corners of Europe, Voxeurop is an independent online media outlet. It is the first such publication to be managed by a European press cooperative. We are a community of journalists, editors, translators, media partners, loyal readers and members from over 30 countries.

Sources. To offer its readers an insight into the perspectives of other countries, Voxeurop selects publications from across Europe (defined as the Council of Europe plus Russia and Belarus) whose reputation and journalistic ethics are tried and tested. An online media outlet created by journalists from the four corners of Europe, Voxeurop is born of one conviction: it is no longer possible to address the challenges of the present era at the level of the individual nation. Whether the challenge is climate change, migration, health crisis, deepening inequality, or the erosion of democratic principles and press freedom, cooperation is essential.
