As a Sikh with great interest in history, one of the major highlights I was looking forward to was the opportunity to pay tribute at the for #LionsoftheGreatWar, #warmemorial in #Smethwick, in #Sandwell in the #WestMidlands of #England dedicated to the memory of the #Sikh soldiers from the #BritishIndianArmy who fought in the #WorldWarI. The bronze sculpture is a 10ft high depiction of a #Sikhsoldier of the #FirstWorldWar on a 5ft granite plinth; it was created by Luke Perry. #VisitBirmingham #L
