Oropharyngeal Dysphagia

Eli was diagnosed with dysphagia at 6 months old after his first swallow study showed ‘laryngeal penetration’ and a ‘delayed swallow reflex’. This is all due to his airway disorder, Laryngomalacia. We’ve had to be very cautious when giving him thin fluids and often needing to thicken them with a feed thickener to avoid aspiration.
