This young opossum was caught by a dog and then kept in a cage for two days, during which she was mistakenly fed goat’s milk with a syringe, leading to aspiration. Her X-rays confirmed pneumonia, and she is now receiving treatment in our hospital. Please remember, if you encounter injured or sick wildlife, the best way to help is by getting them to a licensed rehabilitation center.
