Today marks the 71st anniversary of U.S. Army Special Forces. Special Forces, or Green Berets as they are commonly known, have worked by, with, and through partner forces and seen combat the last seven decades in Korea, Vietnam, El Salvador, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Philippines, Niger, and Syria.
